On the 23rd of November 2016, Mr. Gabor Iklody, Director of the Crisis Management & Planning Directorate (CMPD) of the European External Action Service (EEAS), accompanied by the Head of EUBAM Rafah Mission, visited the Palestinian General Administration for Border & Crossing. He held a meeting with Mr. Nazmi Mouhanna, Director General of the border Administration and with other Palestinian senior officials. During the visit, held at the GABC headquarters in Jericho, Mr. Iklody and Mr. Mouhanna discussed the future development of the EUBAM Rafah Mission, in line with the need of the Palestinian border authorities to be fully ready in case of redeployment to Rafah Border Crossing Point. Mr. Gabor Iklody expressed the full dedication of the European Union in strengthening and developing the capacities of the General Administration for Border & Crossing by continuing on providing training and assistance to the Palestinian Authority.
